The Jazz Café in Hong Kong touted Clarence “ as a soulful singer and hot guitarist who takes the blues of BB King and Albert Collins, and mixes it with the soul of Ray Charles and some funk of James Brown”… In short, Clarence is one of those artists that can actually move people. He brings out a range of emotions in you throughout his performances and recordings.
Then you should consider The Harlem Blues Project. A collective of very talented bandleaders dedicated to bringing you great performances. The bandleaders are connected by decades of partnerships, all having performed in each others bands at one time or another, making them familiar with each other on a friendship level. This familiarity rings through every note played and every sly sideways glance given. The level of respect these musicians have for each other is clearly evident in the attention they pay to each other's performances, making the music comfortable and on a personal level.

Slam Allen 
For over 20 years, Slam Allen has been entertaining audiences with his unique blend of soul and blues. Playing the famous Chitlin' Circuit as well as performing around the world, Allen's music and enthusiasm has been shared with thousands of people. For the past eight years he has played an important role, as the lead singer and guitarist, in the legendary James Cotton Band. "It's one of the highlights and privileges of my life to play with Cotton" says Allen, "He is one of the last living legends, and there's so much history there. Cotton was directly connected to Muddy Waters -- who was a major factor in the blues world as well as being one of my all time favorites. Playing with Cotton is such a great experience for me and there are things you can learn from him that you can't learn from any school. It's a great honor, wherever he goes. His music runs deep. "When I play," says Allen, "People who may have never heard of me leave the show with a feeling that we're old friends or family." From B.B. King to Otis Redding, Slam has a way of making you feel the Soul of the Music. It's often difficult to tell if he's doing one of his originals or an old blues or soul cover.
Bill Sims Jr.
He is currently considered one of the best musicians in the New York City Blues scene. Besides regularly performing at the best Blues clues in the city, Bill tours extensively both domestic and internationally. His virtuoso musicianship can be heard in most homes across America in the advertising spots of Coca-Cola, Reebok, Folgers and ESPN. In 1992, Bill released his first CD, Blues Before Sunrise. In 1999 his much-awaited CD, Bill Sims, was released on Warner Brothers records to coincide with the 10 hour PBS special on Bill. When asked why he plays the Blues, Bill simply replies "because my daddy played the Blues". Luckily for music lovers everywhere, the tradition continues.

Junior Mack, guitarist and singer, is a
Irving Louis Lattin
Native Chicagoan Irving Louis Lattin has been playing since he was 13 years old. He grew up on the music of Blues & Gospel like, Mahalia Jackson, the Staple Singers, Muddy Waters, BB King, Motown, Memphis / Stax and the British Invasion. The list of infuences are endless. He began writing songs when he was 17 and also playing piano when he turned 25. Now he is still making the music he loves which is a blend of Rhythm & Blues, Pop & Funk. Irving has been actively writing songs 9 years for the organization: "Songs of Love Foundation", which writes personal songs for sick children in hospitals all over the United States.
He considers it his blessing to do this work. Irving has also toured Europe, Asia, Jamaica, and Puerto Rico. Irving is considered to be the "real thing" by his peers, he says, "I just do what I do,"
